International Development Team

Appointed by the ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ Board, the International Development Team will be responsible for all aspects of the International game, from selection through the appointment of coaches and managers to touring protocols.

The structure for the International Development Team (IDT) is as below:

The role of the Operations Manager and Head Coaches are as follows:

 

Operations Manager – Duncan Norris

Operations Manager – Job Role

The Operations Manager will be responsible for but not restricted to the following;

1) Administrating the ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ International programme

2) Organising, monitoring and auditing the ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ International bank account

3) Organising and financing all ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ International sides training requirements

4) Organising overseas tours with affiliated travel partner(s)

5) Set Selection Strategy in partnership with the Men’s and Women’s Head Coaches

6) Sitting on the Selection Committee, which will be responsible for all squad selections

7) Organising kit supplier(s) for all ‘Action Indoor Cricket England”Action Indoor Cricket England’ International sides

8) Appointing Team Lead Managers, Team Lead Coaches and ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ Medical Teams in conjunction with the Men’s and Women’s Head Coaches

9) Creating a central database of players’ personal information

10) Organising overseas tours with affiliated travel partner(s)

11) Working in conjunction with the National League committee to assist in the development of the standard of cricket

12) Maintain the International section of the ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ website

Head Coach – Job Role

The ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ Head Coach will be responsible for but not restricted to the following;

Pre Competition:

1) Setting the strategic framework for the development of ‘Action Indoor Cricket England’ International sides

2) Sitting on the Selection Committee, which will be responsible for all squad selections

3) Attending National League events to identify players for trial

4) Ensuring that the player pathway is being adhered to

5) Working to identify a captain per selected squad

6) Supporting the Team Coaches in preparing the squad for matches and International series through coach education workshops and setting a clear tactical strategy with each side ensuring clarity and consistency amongst squads

7) Leading training sessions with selected squads

In Competition:

8) Strategically decide on specific tactics that the team will implement per fixture; making sure that the players understand these thoroughly

9) Join the Captain in setting clear goals so players understand their role and how they should play their part in a winning team.
